Pozible is a crowdfunding platform and community-building tool for creative projects and ideas. It was developed to help people raise funds, realise their aspirations and make great things possible.
Crowdfunding with Pozible is a way for motivated makers to access funding beyond ‘official’ channels by talking directly to switched-on consumers, fans, peers and like-minded strangers.
Whether you’re a part-time photographer, aspiring illustrator, avant-garde kazoo virtuoso or app-developing wizard, you can host your project on Pozible.
How does it work?
Pozible provides the platform for project creators to present their ideas to a connected audience, worldwide. If people love what you’re creating, they can support it by pledging money.
In return, project creators offer rewards matched to the level of funding commitment.
Pozible can also be a gateway for discovering and supporting inspirational projects and thinkers directly. By becoming actively involved in bringing more attention to bold new ideas, art, products and the talented people who conceive them, project supporters become a vital part of a true creative community.
Who is the Pozible team?
The Pozible team is six tech-savvy and energetic people fascinated by the social web, creativity and the awesomeness that can happen when those things combine in a spirit of community. We genuinely believe imagination alloyed to preparation and belief can make almost anything possible.
Rick Chen and Alan Crabbe (Directors, Co-founders)
Rick and Alan met on a road-trip from Sydney to Noosa. They were soon collaborating on projects they both cared about, sharing a commitment to social entrepreneurialism. Pozible's engine room.
Shu Shu Zheng (Project Advisor and Operations Superstar)
Pozible's "it gal" - as in, if there's something that needs taking care of, Shu Shu can do it! From tweaking stuff in the site's back-end, to advising project creators, responding to your emails and tweets to planning meet-ups and events. A do-everything dynamo.
Matt Benetti (Marketing and Partnerships Manager)
Matt's the man with the contacts. If you're a NFP organisation, government office, business, NGO or anything else, Matt has the skinny on what crowdfunding with Pozible can do for you.
Reuben Acciano (Social Media and Communications Manager)
If it's talking about Pozible in any way - print, online, email, the website - Reuben's had his mitts on it (or soon will). Messages are his thing: short, long, clear, funny, moving, ridiculous. All of it.
Joanna Sleigh (Creative Media Coordinator)
Jo makes the Tumblr tick, and people pin. Initially interning, she's adept at a whole range of organisational and content wrangling and now a part of the Pozible Team.
The Pozible Story
A few years ago, Rick and Alan were working on another project when they met an artist with amazing talent. Like many such artists, she was frustrated by having to keep her art 'on the side'. The story resonated. They'd heard it many times before from friends and colleagues in a range of fields.
They asked themselves: could crowdsourcing be used to make funds available in a way specifically suited to the needs of creative people? Could they build a user-friendly tool allowing creators to secure pledges against offered rewards, thereby making resources available to creators during the critical production and development phases?
Driven by their own knowledge of startups and crowdsourcing for social enterprise and community development, they developed a model flexible enough for all kinds of endeavours, with few of the time and complexity issues of traditional funding models.
An agile funding platform for dynamic, inspired people. Pozible.
