Hi everyone!

I'm so excited to be launching this campaign to help fund my debut release. While "Flesh" has been the result of several years of hard work, it has only been through the events of 2011 that I have been able to build up the courage to go into the studio for the first time.

"Flesh" will be a 5-track EP of originals, some of which are already available on my website and my youtube channel (you can see them down the bottom of this page as well). At the moment, they're very simple arrangements - just piano and vocal - but I'm getting some excellent musicians in to support me and help create a bigger, more dynamic sound.

As I'm only new to crowdfunding and the industry, I'm simply asking for enough of the total costs required to fund the EP to keep the debt manageable (although it would be amazing if funding exceeded my goal). The more money I raise, the sooner I can send the mastered tracks off to the manufacturer to be turned into shiny new CDs. In exchange for your support, there are some great rewards listed on the right, from downloads to your own private gig with choices between to suit your budget. If cash is hard to come by (and I know what that's like - believe me, I've been there), even one dollar is greatly appreciated and you'll get a little something in return to express my gratitude for your support.

Approximate costs of the project:

  • $1500 - Studio recording and mixing
  •  $600 - Session musicians
  • $500 - Mastering
  • $500 - Photography and artwork
  • $1500 - Manufacture of CDs and packaging
  • $700 - Additional rewards and Postage
  •  $100 - Royalties for my co-writer
Total cost = Approximately $5400 (yikes!)

How Pozible works:
  • If you like the look of the project and would like to pre-order the EP or any of the additional rewards, click Support Project over on the right hand side. Choose the particular reward you would like to receive and set a dollar amount. The minimum pledge amount is $1.
  • You will not be charged unless my project reaches its funding target.
  • In the event of my project reaching its target, supporters will be charged by Pozible for the amounts they pledged as soon as that target is reached. Any pledges above the target will be charged immediately. At the end of the campaign, I'll get in contact with you with regards to how to send you your rewards.
  • If my project doesn't reach its target by the deadline, then nobody gets charged, nobody receives any rewards and I don't get any money! It also means that I won't be able to complete my project.

So as you can see, this is an all or nothing deal. If you believe in the project, please help me out by supporting as much as you can and by spreading the word. And in return, you'll get some great music and my eternal gratitude!
