This project is a two month creative residency in the North-West of Tasmania.

I will also be using this residency for pre-production for a short film that I am producing, directing & composing some music for - written by friend & collaborator, Matthew Stolp.

Monique Germon was born in 1975 in Camden NSW & works as a multidisciplinary creative professional. Her work & practice has incorporated the roles of production designer, art director, fashion designer, costume designer, stylist, photographer, artist, singer, creative consultant & writer as well as the proprietor & creative director of STORY - the online store.

Monique works primarily under an ideas-based practice of storytelling. She explores concepts surrounding individual and collective identity, association, memory & history as well as issues around class and social status. She is interested in the constraints that accompany the prejudices of personal & individual narratives.

Education includes part degrees in Opera, Music, Fine Arts, English, Film & Philosophy.
