Sydney MTB Riders
Project Description
Sydney MTB Riders Club's goals are to support, raise awareness for and develop riding in and around the city of Sydney.
Specifically Mountain bike riders either commuting or recreation freeriding, but we welcome anyone really.
We wish to setup a solid base for riders to get together and ride and share experiences, also providing an online community, events and workshops. We welcome advanced and new riders.
The goal is to raise enough funds to advertise, pay for affiliations and to raise awareness of the club and it's activities. If we raise enough then a spare bike will be bought for those wanting to try it out, having financial problems and cannot buy or fix their bike or just for those who have nonworking bikes.
Promotion of good etiquette when sharing paths, roads and resources with card and pedestrians.
Races through the city, specifically to use the new cycleways and help promote and extend the cycleway network in Sydney.
Hopefully with your help we can make Sydney a cycling city full of fresh air and happy smiling faces.
Silver sponsors will be listed in all club records and website as Silver Sponsors.
Gold sponsors will be listed as above but will have logo on all club attire, bikes and banners at events.
Platinum sponsor will have special listing, logo on all club attire and the club loan bike will be logo'd and dedicated to this sponsor.
Project By
In recent years I have suffered from chronic fatigue, I spent over 5 years of my life wanting to get out and do stuff but not being physically able to.
I have just recently been able to break through that and get out riding again. I now am able to ride over 10kms each way to work each day, through one of the worlds most beautiful cities. I have managed rides of over 30kms, some of which can be seen on the club website.
Mountain Biking is a passion, it always has been; From grade sport in high school to now commuting and free riding in the city.
I hope to meet new riders and help out those with the experience i have learned from riding and fixing my own bikes.
I work as a network and systems analyst and bring my skills to my hobbies in the sites i make for them.
I hope you will either help me or join me in my journey to bring cycling to the masses and boost the eco friendly transport that is riding.
