Before Dawn is a gritty no holds barred Horror Feature film coming 2012 we are seeking funds to help us get the trailer filmed so we can take it to potential investors of the feature.

If you liked 28 Days Later and La Horde then your going to love Before Dawn..

The film is about David Beckett who takes a job in a small country town after the death of his wife a year before on their 20th Anniversary. His daughter Grace and brother Dan are helping with the move and then heading back to Melbourne.

We first meet the Beckett's eating lunch in a country pub on the way to the town of Black Creek and as they go to pay Grace catches a glimpse of a world wide epidemic report on a local news station.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Henslow a Sociopathic criminal is being transported from Melbourne Jail to the Maximum Security Prison at Barwon. On the way his transport is hit by his crew led by Ivan, Jonathan's top lieutenant, a Russian criminal with no fear. Aata a Maori, a beast of a man and Michael the new kid on the crew who Jonathan doesn't know and doesn't trust.

During the escape Jonathan kills one of the guards and takes the other guard hostage in the boot of the car. They head off down the country road looking for a place to lay low.

Jonathan and his crew take the Beckett's hostage in their new house and are attacked by a group of ravenous infected people. Boarding up the house, David and his family must  now work together with their kidnappers to survive the night.

As the doors and windows slowly give way the tension builds to a violent confrontation between David and Jonathan as they realize their paths have crossed before..

 

The film will be dark, gritty and violent we have an amazing location to film in.

 

For the Lead role of David we have just cast Marcus Graham

 

For the role of Jonathan we have cast American actor William Emmons.

       

The role of GRACE we have cast Samara Weaving

For the role of Dan we have cast Nick Britton

      

 

For the role of Ivan we have cast Albert Goikhman who was shortlisted for an Academy award for his role in the short film "Deeper Than Yesterday"

      

 

For the role of the kidnapped prison guard we have cast up and coming actor "Tasker Streete"

   

 

For the role of Aata we have cast a young Samoan actor Frank Amituanai

CREW

For the film we will be shooting on the Red One Cam with MX lenses and we have an amazing award winning DOP onboard in Shelly Farthing-Dawe his show reel can be viewed on his website here

The production manager and 1st AD have worked on numerous short films, feature films, music videos and tv commercials and have well over 20 years experience in the film and television industry and bring with them a small group of highly trained and experienced film crew.

 

My name is Julian Roberts and I am the Writer, Producer, Director of Before Dawn I studied the Advanced Certificate of Film Production at Footscray City Film School and The Advanced Certificate of Film Directing and Film Production at The Institute of Lens Arts Australia.

 

We have raised 75% of the funding to shoot the trailer but need your help to raise the rest..
