Hey there, friends of Boatfriends,

Welcome to our (2nd attempt at a) Boatfriends Pozible page! As you may already know, Boatfriends is an Australian electro+guitars/dream-pop style consisting of Clinton "Fenton K" Edwards and Shanna "Shanna Watson" Watson. We're currently duo style although we've fluctuated between being the duo and becoming up to a 6 piece live act. 

We're no strangers to the Pozible campaign. Back in 2011, we gave this Pozible thang a shot. We were very sincerely appreciative of the support we received but unfortunately we failed to reach our target :/

Anyhow, we're here again for a 2nd attempt and for extra good luck I'm using multiples of 7 as much as possible in the pledge options (and there's some doozies!).

We've been chipping away at our EP, literally for years now and we are edging in on having the recordings complete but, alas, we find ourselves faced with that ole' lack-of-funds-to-master/produce/release codger.

HERE'S WHERE WE'RE AT SO FAR WITH OUR EP:

- 2 of 5 TRACKS FINALISED (Mastered & ISRC'd).

- 3 of 5 TRACKS 80/90% complete (just adding final touches..).

- Artwork DONE.

HERE'S WHAT WE STILL NEED TO DO:

(ie.WHAT WE WOULD SPEND OUR POZIBLE FUNDING ON AT A MINIMUM)

- Mastering of EP: 3 songs at Studio 301 in Sydney: AU$ 330

- Creation of a physical DDP Production Master CD (inc postage): AU$ 176

- ISRC Registration: AU$ 55

- Pressing of 500 CD's with cardboard Album Cover, Bar Codes & Booklet: AU$ 2000

TOTAL: AU$ 1560

!!!UPDATE!!!

The Morrow Park, our old home & rehearsal studio and general fun-times hangout burnt down in the early hours of Tuesday the 22nd of May, as in 'totally gutted' burnt down. Lot's of our homies are also totally gutted, having lost the majority of their material posessions and their artistic creations and instruments etc. but thankfully everyone is alive to tell the tale. So, we've decided we'll put all Pozible funds above our target towards the fundraising efforts ensuing. Please give it up for one of the raddest institutes in Australian music and keep an eye out for an epic fundraiser event in the near future!! VALE MOZ.

BUT HERE'S WHAT WE REALLY OUGHT TO BE DOING:

So that would cost (approximately):

- Airfares: AU$ 250p/p (4 x $250): AU$ 1000

- Fuel: AU$ 800

- Misc. Travel Costs: AU$ 200

- Sound Engineer: (12 x $60): AU$ 720

- Merch Babe: (12 x $40) AU$ 480

- Projectionist: (12 x $60): AU$ 720

..at a bare minimum, but we can work with that.

SO THAT'S A GRAND TOTAL OF

 AU$ 5480

So there we have it. We are aiming for the necessities here but it would be so great to be able to take the time off work and hit the road with our EP and leave you all with a real life experience of us Boatfriends guyses.

It's like sliding into a warm pillow of fragmented vocals and crunchy syths. Great unique production without taking away from the organic beauty of the vocals. Where did this come from!?

Beautiful vocal's!! Cruisy catchy tune, very easy to listen to. I will be keeping my eye out for more show's, their set at Groovin the moo sounded excellent :)
