Fidgital are two musicians based in Brighton. Mike Dennis is a classically trained violin virtuoso with a penchant for production / live looping and MC-ing. Nick Dunn backs up the act on two turntables and software package Serato. Their new album was recorded for 200 pounds in the Metway Studios in Brighton over two days with legendary producer Al Scott (Asian Dub Foundation / The Levellers). In order to get 1,000 copies pressed onto CD the band need 350 pounds.
The idea came to them that if 100 people donated 3.50 they could exchange a digital copy of the album to each contributor and then put each donator's name on the CD sleeve when it is produced.
This campaign is going to be marketed as 'Buy Fidgital a Beer' as the average price of a beer in the UK is 3.50. Fidgital intend to then tour the UK over a 3 month period, selling the CD and then catching up with all those who contributed and then buying them their beer back!! Simples...
So heres the deal:
Donate 3.50 (or more if you are feeling generous) and receive a zip folder through your email account of the full album (11 tracks). Each donor will also get their name on the physical copy of the CD and guestlist to any Fidgital show in their area during the UK tour end of 2010 beginning of 2011...
