SubZero Media is currently in pre-production and we are looking for sponsors and fans to support us in Stage One of the project.

Stage One of the project will fund our Pre-visualisation component. This involves creation of concept art, storyboards, animatics, some asset building and 3d layout.

Story
The aging warrior, Seven, is introspective, philosophical and verging on insanity. He is outcast from society under his own volition as believes himself above and separate from them, but at the same time he wrestles with his internal 'wolf', his base, lower self, his desire for sex, stimulants and violent conquest. He wanders the land searching for a mystical place called The Black Temple, his holy grail, an analogy for his self acceptance which will bring him back into the world and allow him to appreciate life. All pretty heavy, but it's ok there will be titties too. Expected running time is 30 minutes.

Art
Drawing inspiration from great fantasy artists; Frank Frazetta, Simon Bisley and Brom our fantastic artists Lachlan Creagh, Nick Martinelli and Arthur Nichols are creating a world like no other. Monsters, Demons and fascinating characters, their vision in turn inspires the rest of the Crew on to greater heights.

Direction
With over fifteen years in the CG industry Cameron Crichton has directed many game marketing trailers and cinematics for EA, BioWare, Atari, THQ, Take Two Interactive and Activision. He directed his first animation back in 1999 for Momentum Animation's Petey and Jaydee series. More recently he directed the 360 degree stereo cinema project Dynamic Earth now showing at the Museum of Victoria. In fact most of the Dinosaur Walk and 600 Million Years sections at the Museum feature Cameron's work. In 2010 Cameron was VFX supervisor on the Michael Rymer feature Face to Face. Cameron has just completed work on Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance with Iloura as fx artist.

Animation
Lead Animator Aidan Martin is currently Animator at Global Creatures. He has previously worked as Animator at PRA, Lead Animator at Crystalised and Tech Animator at Animal Logic on the feature Legend of the Guardians.

Motion Capture
The Black Temple will be using a state of the art motion capture system to capture the performance of highly trained Martial Artists, Stunt-people and Actors to build unique performances. Director Cameron Crichton has many years of experience directing performers with this cutting edge technology.

Visual FX
Our visual effects supervisor is Daniel Hourigan. Daniel has nine years of experience in the field of Visual Effects and Animation, Daniel has worked all over the world with clients including Sony Pictures, Bioware, Microsoft, Louis Vuitton, Melbourne Museum, Australian NAVY and Cirque du Soleil.

Asset Creation
Lead Character Modeler Anton Vereschagin and team are responsible for creating our terrifying Monsters. He recently worked on Moscow's Glukoza Production's feature Savva.

Soundtrack
As well as a stunning original score from Shinjuku Thief's Darrin Verhagen The Black Temple will feature several licensed music tracks from the likes of Sunn O))), The Sword, Danzig, High On Fire, Electric Wizard and Baroness.

Every fan and sponsor will be kept up to date with new releases of artwork, story boards and assets through our facebook page. Along with the great reward incentives for sponsoring the Black Temple SubZero will be giving away prizes to fans of our facebook page for the duration of Stage One.

We are not reliant on funding from government bodies to tell us how to make our film or answerable to censorship boards to determine what cannot be in our film. This project will be funded by the people who want to see it - YOU - and contain exactly what you want to see, uncensored and free!
