The Backyard Project - What is it?

The Backyard Project is an Internet Radio Station that provides local dj's and producers a platform to express their talents via a live broadcast.

We Started www.thebackyardproject.com.au because in Perth WA where we are based there exists a vast pool of talented artists and no real community based project to showcase their talents to the world. We have started with the radio station for Dj's and Music Producers but really want to expand the project to become an online portal which showcases the diverse range of artistic talents that exist within Western Australia.

The home of The Backyard Project is currently based in the house of the founder who started The Project. He along with most, simply felt that it needed to happen and QUICK!

What We Need & What You Get

All funding will go to further develop the existing website to offer a wider platform for local artist to contribute and showcase their work. We will add a Photo & Video Gallery for photographers & film makers, an Integrated Blog for writers and an Online shop for local designers. We obviously have running costs as well for things like electricity, water etc.

We want to be able to keep the website and radio station commercial free while being able to offer all the site content free to access.

Our Goal

We want to be able to offer access to anyone at anytime quality content like Ad free music, Interesting free films, engaging reading material, unique clothing, beautiful photography/paintings so if you value these things then please support us to make it happen.

So far The Backyard Project has been privately funded to get it to where it is no but unfortunately we need to secure more funding to really take the project to the next level.
