Pissweak Superheroes is an animated comedy brought to you by the team who won 7 Awards and 8 Official Selections with their first feature film made for ten thousand Australian Dollars. I am Bish (www.iambish.com) was shot by an all-volunteer cast and crew (including more than 300 zombie volunteers) and is a flat out comedy spoof based on the idea of - what would I am Legend have been like if the last guy on Earth was an average guy (well below average actually) and also stars up and comer, Siobhan Dow-Hall who recently appeared in the mini-series Cloudstreet.

Whilst shot on a budget of only $10,000 Aussie dollars, I am Bish has has since been made an Official Selection of 8 international film festivals and has won 7 Awards and is now being distributed on DVD in Australia and the US. The Australian DVD launches through distributors Shock Entertainment and Dreamscape in March with the US DVD to follow later in the year.

Pissweak Superheroes tells the story of Crusader and MegaDude, two superheroes struggling to find relevance in a world where all the bad guys have been defeated. It also features a massive cast of supprting characters including; UltraBabe, PowerRing, The Wonder-Bros, Big Guy and Roids and tells the story of their decades-long struggle against the evil forces of EvilDick and MegaBitch. It's a flat out comedy in the style of South Park and Family Guy but it also has a human touch and deals with some real issues (although never at the expense of laughs per minute).

The beauty of a concept like Pissweak Superheroes is that there is so much you can do with it and everytime we tell someone about it, they invariably have an idea for a particularly pissweak superhero and it's usually hilarious. For this project, we are just looking to get enough to make a half-hour pilot episode BUT if we are successful or raise more than our target, there is so much more that we would like to do including the creation of a Pissweak Superhero pokemon style game where you can create your own Pissweak Superhero with their own unique pissweak superpowers and then battle other Pissweak Superheroes on-line or via a mobile app.

The Creative Team

Dave "Bish" Bishop is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts or WAAPA (other grads include Hugh Jackman and Frances O'Connor).

In 2005, Bish came 2nd in Project Greenlight Australia with his screenplay Case (www.casemovie.com)

In 2006, Bish was nominated for the Monte Miller Award for Best Unproduced Screenplay by the Australian Writer's Guild for his screenplay Vampires from Wagga.

In 2009, Bish produced and directed an independent zombie comedy called "I am Bish" (a spoof of I am Legend) for a budget of $10,000 Aussie Dollars that he won in a short film competition.

I am Bish has since been made an official selection of 8 international film festivals and has won 7 Awards and is now being distributed on DVD in Australia and the US.

Bish also has a Degree in Commerce and is about to complete a 2nd Degree in Computer Science and Psychology and has several years experience in project management so he can balance creative inspiration with business and practical necessity.

Bish will be working with youung artists and animators, mainly students sourced from universities, TAFE's and private training institutions who will all receive a share of profits in addition to a small up-front fee for their work (as well as valuable experience).

Bish will also be using Australian acting talent to voice the characters and already has a number of contacts from his time as a professional actor and independent film producer.

The more we raise through this campaign the more we will be able to do and the more opportunities we will create for talented youngsters and great, up and coming, Aussie Actors.
