Huge Thank You!!! to everyone that has donated. It is so exciting to have made it to 100%. It has been so wonderful to have received such support from so many people. BRUCE's heart has been warmed from everyone's generosity!!

With 3 days still to go... You can still make donations if you feel like snapping up a reward and making it onto Bruce's supporter wall. Any new will go towards printing up an extra special first catalogue.


Bruce dreams of being an affordable exhibition space looking to support local artists, hold life-drawing sessions, arthouse film nights and even the odd afternoon gig. Bruce will be an exhibition space for emerging and established artists with a focus on installation, sculptural and mixed media work. Bruce also aims to host a series of afternoon gigs featuring local Melbourne and visiting interstate bands.

So far Bruce has had one successful group painting show - Prosopagnosia and the "extraordinarily moving"* one man play - Boxman (Check out the pics at www.bruce.org.au)

...but now its time to get serious and pack the calendar full of events. To do this Bruce needs to get all the right bits of paper to keep the bureaucratie happy. Unfortunately these papers cost quite a few $.

Your donation will help to establish Bruce and to acquire:

• Relevant permits and licenses (including a liquor license)
• Public Liability Insurance
  
• as well as a bit of a spruce up with a new wall and a fresh coat of paint.

Bruce wants to be around for a while and has long term plans to establish a space where art lovers and the general community can engage with art. When Bruce grows up the dream is to support emerging artists by way of grants, to run combined art/literacy workshops for the students from the local community, as well as building a collection of art book/magazines available to everyone....but for now we need to hold the horses and make sure the first step is a solid one.
