The Hayloft Project is the award-winning independent theatre company behind By Their Own Hands, Thyestes, The Nest, 3xSisters, Delectable Shelter, and Yuri Wells. For our latest show we're teaming up with Darebin Art's Speakeasy Program to bring you a whole new theatrical monster.

Partially adapted from "Arden of Faversham", The Hayloft Project's latest mash-up of classical renovation leaves the Greeks and the Russians on the shelf. Taking an anonymously conceived play from 1592, Arden v Arden pulls the ruff off Elizabethan verse and rebirths it for the here and now. Contemporary characters and language clash with ye olde bloody murder in a brazen experiment that compares our past with our present, finding light and darkness in both. This is an ambitious production of a true crime story that refuses to die, from an independent company that refuses to sit still.

$2500 will cover almost all the costs of the set, costume, lighting and sound equipment. By giving to this campaign you will be ensure that the show you see has the trademark design flair of The Hayloft Project.

How The Funds Will Be Used
We create work collaboratively so our budget requires a good degree of fluidity. As we launch this campaign, our designers are working as a team with a combined budget of $2500. That's for the set, the costumes for eleven actors, and the additional lighting and sound equipment needed to make this show the uncompromising professional spectacle that fans of The Hayloft Project have come to expect.
