Our group of emerging young theatre-makers would like to ask you to consider supporting our theatrical project.

In September 2012, we have the opportunity to present The Hiding Place as part of ATYP’s Under the Wharf season.

Emerging playwright Kendall Feaver has written The Hiding Place based on stories of imprisoned children from magical folklore and chilling modern day newspaper reports. Intelligent and mysterious, this is a new Australian work that deserves to leave the page.

Director Kai Raisbeck heads a stellar team of young designers, actors and crew, all of whom are donating their time and energy to the project. This includes the cast Caleb Alloway, Michele Durnam, Abi Rayment, and Paul Hooper.

But like fine wine collecting and baby beauty pageants, putting on plays is an expensive addiction, and we need your help. We are furiously fundraising to subsidise set and costumes, rehearsal space, and insurances and other expenses - all of which are vital in order to get this work on its feet.

You can contribute as little as $5, $10, $20, etc, and your donation only gets processed once we hit the $3200 goal post.

So please keep the change from your next coffee or late-night kebab, and put it towards something with less calories and a higher entertainment value… our project.It’s so easy to help us through the fantastic through this website (see the right column).

- Absolutely. We’ll be in contact shortly after the campaign has ended. Just let us know, and everything can be easily arranged.

What happens if you don’t reach the goal?

- We lose all the money. Gosh, that would suck!

Can we exceed the goal?

- Yes….please! The goal that has been set is only a small dint in our budget. Every bit counts so please continue donating!
