Alter Ego is a new outdoor projection theatre work by Night Parrots. Using interaction between live performers and large-format digital projection, Alter Ego explores the fear and exhilaration of meeting our other self, encountering our own fears, past actions and potentials. 

Devised in collaboration with a theatre director, video artist, choreographer, and 6 performers, Alter Ego has been designed specifically to explore the relationship between live performance, moving images and the city. Alter Ego was developed in 2012, through a creative development residency at NIDA, and has been invited, at very short notice, to participate in the VIVID Festival in Sydney, as part of the Light Walk in Walsh Bay.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

This newly developed project has the opportunity to shine at the VIVID Festival, but we need your help to get there! It's such a great opportunity for us to show you our work in the outdoor landscape of the city of Sydney. Everyone gets to see Alter Ego for free, but we have costs associated in bringing it to you:

- Paying our talented performers 

- Insurance

- Equipment and transport costs

WHERE WE GO FROM HERE

This is our first project as a company. We will create more new short works around Sydney over the next 6 months, with a larger project planned for 2013. Stay tuned...
