About me

Hi, I’m Rob. I’m a dad of 2 beautiful little girls and creator of the flexapots range. I love simple, smart design, seeing cool ideas become reality and products that make life with children just that little bit easier.

This range of products stemmed from an idea I had when I was working as an engineer and grew somewhat while I looked after our first child Sophie. Our Sophie is a keen little painter but I found that I avoided setting up her painting activities as cleaning up was always so overwhelming. So I took my idea for an easy clean range of products and worked on developing the children’s paint pot. And a little while later, the flexapots range has now finally become a reality!

The products

The patent-pending silicone design makes cleaning up painting and craft activities really simple: you can just let excess paint dry in the pot, then flex the surface and peel away the dried paint.

I’ve been on the product development journey for the last year or so and am about to launch the products – which I’ve called “flexapots” – into the market.

The initial product range will be a series of painting pots, artist palettes and activity mats which will come in a number of different bright and cheerful colours. They’re great for use at home, or in childcare centres, creches and schools and they make fantastic gifts.

We need you because ...

The products are ordered and are getting manufactured as we speak with delivery expected at the end of November, but there’s still a huge way to go to launch the brand and let people know about flexapots. As the project has been self funded up until now,  I’d love your support to help with the costs to package, launch and promote the flexapots range. 

So what will it go towards?

While it won't cover all of our launch expenses it will go along towards some of the following upcoming expenses:

Advertising in targeted children's magazines and websites such as MyChild, Peekaboo, Kidspot ~ $1500-2000

Design of brochures, ads, printing of materials ~ $1350

Promotional stand at Baby and Toddler Show ~ $2500
