Theres a new Ladyhawke album being released, and if you're familiar with my work you will know that the biggest creative collaboration I have is with that lovely musician. For six months of the last year, the art I made was all for this new album 'Anxiety' and everything associated with it. Three years prior, I was pulled out of a serious funk by painting the art for her debut album. Art lives to be seen, and I am so eager to give these works their due by exhibiting the originals from both Ladyhawke albums. These paintings are languishing in my studio and have never ever been exhibited before. What could be more fitting than a 'coming out' in London?
Making art is not a thankless job- theres lots of praise to be found, and support in the form of peer (and strangers) recognition. What it is rather short on is cash. For the most part I do OK on that front, but like musicians and all kinds of artists, usually invest the money back into the creating. Now I find myself needing to be in London in a few weeks, and without the $ to invest in the airfare.
This isn't me politely asking for something for nothing- Whats really being asked here is that with your pledge, you purchase some art from me, and at really good value, so that I can go to the UK - exhibit at this album release party- garner more interest in my work - increase the value of my work, and therefore - increase the resale value of your investment! WE ALL WIN!
I will send you one 10cm x 15cm giclee print, signed and numbered, with a little thank-you on the back. It'll be a special edition, limited to the number of pledges here. There are 3 images available - the Deaths Head Moths appear in the new Ladyhawke album 'Anxiety'. The Space Raccoon is an old favourite that people have been asking for as a print for a few years. Go ahead and pledge enough for a pair or all three if you like!

Im going to make you a hand painted and hand written (on the back... don't want to spoil the picture!) thank you picture, on some really nice watercolour paper! I will even post it to you! Anywhere! A4 size. It's going to be an original so i cant show you what it'll be... but since my reputation is at stake, you know it'll be created with due dedication and skill and love! I will create an ink and watercolour painting in the faux-taxidermy guide style of my series 'Wonder Cabinet' ('Wunderkammer'), which so far includes the extinct; a Mammoth and a Moa, and the fantastic; a Rabbat and a Phoenix. I'd really like to do some Crypto-zoological; a chupacabra, a Loch Ness monster etc. Painted on watercolour paper, roughly 40cm x 56cm. Posted anywhere. Other pieces in this series have sold for TWICE what i'm suggesting here! Heck, at this price, why not buy out the whole series. They'd look so fancy on your walls. (you can even choose the creature!)

I will paint a portrait of you (or the willing subject of your choice), in the laborious and thoughtful style my work is known for. A powerful portrait on white background, executed in ink or watercolour- see Ladyhawke album covers as examples. Postage to anywhere in the world is included. Dimensions- 56 x 56 cm on 600gsm watercolour paper. My regular commission value this size sells for about twice, or more, what i'm suggesting here!
