
Heads are down and tails are up at the AIM studio as the Animated Peoples Front prepares for the creative outpouring that will be the 2012 AIM Exhibition and Screening Season.
This year promises to both entertain, challenge and engage with work ranging from linear narrative to games and interactive installation.
AIM screening will be held on Thursday the 29th of November at Storey Hall, attendees will have the opportunity to view the installation and interactive works before the linear screening and awarding of prizes, kindly donated by AIM industry partners.
There will also be a stand alone exhibition of the interactive and game works on at Open Space Gallery, opening on Thursday the 8th of November.

the AIM 2012 Animated Peoples' Front are:
Bei (Ann) Li:
Ann started learning painting in high school. In 2007, she entered The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts studied Web Design-New Media and finished the bachelor degree. During the collage life, she was art editor of the college journal.
Jing Liu (L.J):
L.J has a background in painting and sculpture and is pursuing a career in 3D animation and product design.
Working in collaboration with
Cheng Peng:
Cheng began learning traditional Chinese painting at an early age. She is aiming to be a 2D animator or illustrator. She is also interested in character and environment designs.
Angela Pinilla:
Angela is a 3D animator with experience in short animations and interactive productions, worked for two years in a Digital Interactive agency where she sharpened her abilities in modeling and texturing.
She works tirelessly to improve in her abilities as an animator and film maker.
Working in collaboration with
Alastair Richardson:
Alastair is currently completing Animation Interactive Media postgraduate course while working in character rigging for the Lampshade Collective. His sanity is questionable.
Yi Kai Cheung (Jason):
Jason is interested in creating simple but visually stunning interactive works with beautiful audio and strong emotional appeal.
Jonathan Strugnell:
Jonathan has worked and taught in the multimedia and animation industry for a couple of decades.
He is originally from Brisbane, but has worked in Dubai and Jordan in the Middle East and is now Melbourne-based. Jonathan has a lifelong infatuation with animation, film, and acting.
Margaret (Gosia) Lapinski :
Gosia is a weathered digital designer and film nerd with a deep love for the well-crafted title sequence, the shoe-string film shoot and the disturbing tale well told. Lives for motion design, music graphics and hand drawn mug shots. Lover of people, dogs, Aldi biscuits, endless brainstorms, warm nights and movie marathons.
Davey Sams:
Davey is a mad scientist.
Sean Kelly:
Sean is a Digital Media Artist and educator. Working in digital Art and Design since 2000
his work spans Live Projection Performance, motion graphics, event organisation,
illustration and design.
Maya Toone:
Maya studied Creative Arts at Melbourne Uni followed by a stint in Post at Digital Pictures and MRPPP. After that she spent 3 years in London working on commercials, music videos and feature films at RSA/Black Dog before returning to Melbourne in 2007 and working at Exit Films as a directors assistant.
Sarsha Brisbane:
Sarsha has compulsively devoted
her life to aesthetic obsession. Studying from Printmaking at VCA, Screen
Printing RMIT, Media Arts RMIT to her Masters of Animation and Interactive
Media also at RMIT Sarsha has finessed a wide range of skills. With devotion
for historical periods of the early 20th centaury combined with
sensitivity for crafting from hand as well utilizing animation techniques
Sarsha is able to effortlessly transport the audience to another time and
space.
Edward Whitehead:
At the age of 14 Edward completed a Certificate III in Multimedia. At the start of 2008, Edward left high school to complete certificate IV in Multimedia and begun a certificate IV in IT before going to Qantm College in late 2009. In 2011 he graduated with a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment majoring in Games Design. He also teaches in Higher Eduction.

Chi Xu:
Chi studied drawing and animation in China. An award winning animator, Chi seeks to add complexityto his work, expressing inner thoughts and emotional states.
