Synopsis:

James has had an interesting day..... He wagged school, cut his knee and now his crazy mum is about to embarrass him in front of the whole school.

But he's got WAY bigger problems......... He just discovered the secret to time travel.....

Director's Statement:

Like a lot of people I’ve wondered about time travel and the rules we put in place to explain its possibility.Thousands of stories exist about time travel in cinema, theatre and literature.

One story I thought would be great to tell, was my own childhood experience with trying to understand it with a young mind, and then trying to explain it to others. We all know there are rules to time travel, but actually testing these rules is something that seems fictional and silly.

‘Time’ is about one young boy’s exploration that the foolish idea of time travel might actually be possible.

The lead character, a 12-year-old named James, already endures a dysfunctional upbringing but now has to deal with the consequences of his own beliefs and the reactions of others from his school.

Producer's Statement:

When I turned to Liam earlier this year and said "Mate, let's make something for Tropfest this year, got any ideas?"  I didn't expect him to give me this script.......
He could have written a small film, a quirky love story comedy or a psychological drama set in the front seat of a car. But no he HAD to give me this script........ And now I HAVE to make this script. Once you read it, there is no un-reading it, you know the story and you know that the story needs to be told.
So now WE have to make this story...........

Paul Phillips  Stunt Coordinator

Everyone Knows Paul in the film industry, but very few actually know him as Paul…..

“Halfie”, as he is affectionately known is quite a well respected and loved character of the Australian  film scene, having been involved in it now for over 20 years. In fact I have known Halfie for many years now, but only just recently found out his real name, I guess I should read my call sheets more thoroughly.

Starting in 1992 as one of the crazy stunt men in the daily “Police Academy” stunt show at Movie World, Halfie quickly took to throwing himself off buildings on fire, like a duck does to water. With over 500 days as a stunt actor, he has pretty much jumped off, through, hit by, smashed, and blown up everything in his path. All doing this in the safest possible way with having 498 days as Safety Supervisor under his belt and now pushing 900 days as Stunt Coordinator, so even to the layman like myself, that is a LOT of experience.

If you ever need someone to drive any motorized anything, then Halfie is your man as he is still  currently a Movie World stunt driver in the “Hollywood” stunt show and has over 100 precision driving days external to that under his belt. Also, due to him being a professional Drift Car racer, he can definitely get anything sideways in spectacular style.

We are exceptionally lucky to have Halfie on our team and it isn’t just for his wealth of experience but more because of his energetic personality. You will be hard pressed to find a happier, more relaxed person on set and he has a very infectious personality that keeps everyone around him smiling, clam and enthusiastic.

Industry Support / Sponsors:

We have already gained some crucial support and sponsorship from some heavy hitters in the Film Industry. Knowing that every crew / cast member will be donating their time, it's inspiring to see these companies getting behind and believing in our project.

PANAVISION AUSTRALIA

Simon Purton at Panavision Qld read the script and believed in the people making this film. Panavision are supporting us with the one of the best Digital Cinema Cameras available and the arguably the best film lenses in the world

We will be shooting Red Epic (5K widescreen) and Panavision Primo Lenses (for all the camera geeks out there, insert squeal here..........)

This makes our Cinematographer VERY happy and excited. I know he is chomping at the bit to pour his creativity into this project and achieve some beautiful results.

For a list of the movies shot with this Camera click here.

The Post Lounge

The Post lounge is one of the biggest post production facilities in Brisbane, and for that matter Australia. They work with professionals from all over the world and constantly deliver the highest quality of work.

We are very excited about this partnership and their belief in our project. They have offered to support our project through the post process and will help us deliver a film of the highest quality well under  budget. This film is going to look and sound awesome with help from these guys, thanks again TPL.

Studio 34

Special Thanks to the cool guys at Studio 34 in Brisbane. They let us use their awesome studio space to create this funding pitch for pozible. We are a little bummed that there is not more studio shooting needed because they would have loved to help out more. Thanks again guys, you made it really easy for us.

What your support will be used for:

All the cast and crew believe so much in the film that we have easily filled the positions with amazing professionals that are donating their time. But just because no one is getting paid doesn't mean a film costs nothing to make. The money raised will go to basics like catering, petrol for vehicles, insurances and the costs involved with staging the dramatic "stunt" (which I cannot tell you about because it will ruin the surprise). We all know it is an ambitious project to achieve with a limited budget, but we have assembled some of the best in the business to help us achieve our goals.

Rest assured, every dollar raised will go directly to the production of this exciting film and thank you in advance for playing a crucial role in its future success.

A very special thank you on the film’s website and the knowledge that you are an awesome human being.
