I have been riding bicycles for longer than I can remember. Growing up in England, I was riding five miles each way to school from age 11. I'm still smarting about my parents rejecting my pleas for a Raleigh Mag Burner. The ten-speed was far more practical I suppose. I started mountain biking in 1989. I try to ride every day. I still make odd whooping noises on fast descents. I still crash far too often. I've been dabbling with the bicycle industry since the early 1990's. A few years ago I finally found my calling after too long making a living as an engineer. I jumped into writing and photography about my bicycle adventures. I love seeing people grab some of my passion and make it their own. I've had words and images published in New Zealand and overseas, but Journey is the realisation of a dream.
