Right now I am preparing for a solo exhibition titled Beach Road's Ribbon of Highs and Lows’, which looks afresh at Melbourne's Bayside and the iconic Beach Road.

My Project

Many people of all ages have a connection to the coast, whether we visit the beach on hot days or live close by it. I have a strong love of street photography and photojournalism and this exhibition in many ways takes me back to my roots in traditional fine art photography

I have taken the photographs over a period of five years creating a significant body of work that deserves to be shown, ‘Beach Road's Ribbon of Highs and Lows’ and is a visual love-letter to the landscape that so enchants me as an artist and a photographer, I believe these works will delight viewers familiar with the area, and those who are strangers to it.

How your support through the pozible community will help

The photographs have been taken and the exhibition is scheduled, but I need some help to raise funds for the venue hire, printing and mounting costs.

Cost Breakdown:

- To print (about fifty) various sized digital archival prints): $2500

- Gallery fees: $500

In total I am asking for your help to raise $3,000. Whatever you are willing to invest will help me to reach this goal, simply promoting your interest in my work on social media will be incredibly valuable and greatly appreciated.

My photographic works are also held by the State Library of Victoria and the National Gallery of Victoria. I am an award finalist in the Melbourne based Lens Mist Prize for Photography of Seascapes of Port Phillip Bay, the 2011 Olive Cotton Award for Portraiture and the 2011 Josephine Ulrick & Win Schubert Photography Prize. My photographs feature in group exhibitions such as the recent Mission for the Seafarers exhibition in Melbourne, titled ‘Home: a place of origin or belonging’.

Where and When

My exhibition will feature at the G3 ARTSPACE on the 15th of February as part of the Kingston Arts’ summer calendar of performing, visual and cinematic arts events and activities in February. Located in Parkdale, the G3 ARTSPACE promotes artistic excellence and innovation with diverse and thought provoking exhibitions from both professional and emerging artists.
