DAN KOOP is a previous graduate of Monash University with a Bachelor of Performing Arts and is presently completing a Masters of Public Art at RMIT, researching performance in public spaces that investigate social interactions, public infrastructures and local rituals. The art of hospitality, social practice, relational aesthetics and contemporary live art practice are all conceptual touchstones during his research phase, of which Wish We Where Here is an active example.

Previously, Dan has created works in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and the UK with the Live Art Development Agency, Glastonbury Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. Performances have taken place in diverse places like working launderettes, a 1976 vintage caravan and a pimped out shopping trolley.

From 2005-10 Dan was a Project Manager for the 2010 Sydney Festival, a Producer at Brisbane Powerhouse where he contributed to the creation of the WTF (World Theatre Festival) and was an Assistant Producer at BAC (London) that including working on the immersive site-specific BAC/Punchdrunk Theatre co-production The Masque of the Red Death.
