Ben Lawless

Hi!

I'm Ben, aka v01tron. I've been making dance music for 14 years, in my home studio using wads of mad gear I've picked up along the way, and some computers of course. I'm currently working on a new album but need your help to get it produced. 

The album is a concept album called "Journeys". I'm taking between 8 and 12 amazing places that I have visited in the world and making songs based on them. I'm emphasising the indigenous people who live in the places that I'm making the music about. So far I've been working on some awesome stuff inspired by the Maori of NZ, the Australian Aborigines, the Alaskan/Canadian Haida and the Taiwanese indigenous people, to name just a few. 

The CD itself will have some interesting information about the places and the people who are the inspiration for the songs. I'm making all the artwork myself and its coming along pretty awesomely so far. 

The albums I've made in the past have all been self-funded, but its caused me issues because I never know how many people want copies and generally end up making way too few, and loads of people miss out. Add the fact that the place I get them produced has raised its prices lots recently and I'm unemployed until I start teaching next year, and you can see why I need your help. 

Essentially this project is about asking people to pre-purchase a CD of music that I'm making. The album will be complete in January 2013...

I'm looking for 20 people to put in $15 each. For that, you get the album on CD in a beautifully designed digipak and sent to you anywhere in the world!
