Settlers of Iran Playtesting
Simply put, we've made a game we're pretty proud of. The Settlers of Iran is a 5 player tabletop game that we want to fund on Pozible but we've got some work to do first.
We want $500 to obtain a venue and food for our amazing playtesters, and to facilitate the development of additional scenarios. New boards will have to be printed as well, at around $40 or so.
Why would you want to playtest this game? Well for one it is more than playable - and quite fun - in its current state. That and, seriously, this game is ridiculous:

Like, really ridiculous.
The Story So Far...
Iran's noble history, humiliated by the meddling hands of foreign powers, still runs rich through the blood of its citizens. Today they are asked to call upon its strength, for they face strange days ahead. NATO's war spectre looms over the nation as insidious rumours circulate about cabals with inhuman agendas in its highest ranks.
At home a blood cult has been luring the faithful to join their corrupt alliance. It is said they pray to long dead gods that drive people insane simply by contemplating their nature. As always Yankie yahoos, jumped up on smarmy action film one liners and gun lust, are performing 'covert' intelligence operations. This, of course, is the alibi for their continued cyber-terrorism operations directed at Iranian reactors.
The ramifications of such boisterous diplomacy could never have been anticipated. The President's cybernetically enhanced bodyguards, subjects of the government's secret Brutal Assimilative Biotic Incubated Nanotechnology (BABIN) Project, have been infected with the American's STUXNET computer virus. The implants in their brain have started to develop a thirst that can only be satisfied by destruction. These five women are battling the darkest sleeper agent – their own massively enhanced minds. It seemed like these conditions would create a quagmire for the nation that could never be resolved. That is, until you came along...

The board, with the Persian Gulf filled with blood
What a trip, right? At this point you may want to know how it is the game is actually played. For the sake of brevity I'll just list the victory conditions and card backs here:
Iran: Our land is being torn apart on multiple unconventional fronts. We have to defend what is rightfully ours. Holding on to a territory with a Nuclear Facility for one turn earns one victory point per facility. Once Iran has accumulated 9 victory points, they regain control over their nuclear program and renegade cyborgs, and so can nuke humanity's enemies into oblivion, protecting the world from Lizards, Old Ones and Yankie scum alike.
Cultist: Great Cthulhu must be appeased and it is only satisfied with the total consumption of one's will to live. Convert 30 souls to the dark arts for the Old Ones to rise again.
Spies: You might only be in it for the laser watches and the babes but you're here for the intel. Extract the data and destroy all evidence. Command has insisted you leave the region in the hands of the most capable power. After factions have been chosen but before deployment, the spies must pick who will win the game, or who will lose. In addition, the Spies must destroy 3 Government Facilities. Ensure your choice comes second to you or last before destroying the final facility.
Cyborgs: Heeding STUXNET's call, these BABIN heroines must quench their thirst for nuclear energy. The microchip in their brain is too powerful and, despite their protests, nothing will stop that chip from compelling the cyborgs from cracking open those reactors to feed on raw power. Consume (destroy) 5 Nuclear Reactors.
New World Order (NWO): For the Lizards, this one is personal. The Atlantean bloodline first settled in Mesopotamia around 6500 BC so 'having a presence' simply won't do. Do what a Lizard does best and stick your scaly digits in every pie. Control 9 Nuclear or Government Facilities for 1 turn.

Cards, in order: NWO, Iran, Cultists, Spies & Cyborgs
