WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

Mateo, 12, accidentally destroys a gift with which his single Mother intended to win Grandfather back into her life. An operation to escape punishment by restoring the gift before Grandfather notices its absence changes course due to Mateo’s series of white lies. 

THE FILMMAKERS

Meelad Moaphi (director & writer) - Based in Toronto, Canada, Moaphi recounts globally recognizable and often sociopolitical narratives through highly stylized satires and allegories. Meelad graduated in 2010 with a Specialized Honours in Film Production from York University. His works have screened internationally and have been awarded by various festivals.

WHERE WILL THE DONATIONS GO?

For every donation we will offer you a perk as a token of our appreciation! Please refer to the page's right-hand side to see what the perks are.  This is an independently funded project to be produced with very little money, but there are some expenses that we simply cannot avoid. Your donations will primarily be used to:

• Feed the cast & crew on set who have offered their time and talent for free.
• Rent equipment and locations to shoot at.
• Cover insurance fees for equipment, crew and cast.
• Purchase props for set design.

Our $4,000 goal is the minimum to get us through the shoot. Money raised beyond that target allows us to further invest in post-production, secure music licensing and cover a portion of film festival submission fees. 

ALL OR NOTHING

If our project does not meet its funding goal, all pledges are cancelled and you will be refunded.
