CRIME & PUNISHMENT - Feature Film
NOW SHOOTING
UPDATE:
We are very excited to announce that we have started shooting Crime & Punishment. We still need your support to reach our Pozible goal. We can't wait to show you the film that you've helped to create so we've added a ticket to a Private Screening** to all Rewards. See you there!
Here are some film stills from the scenes we have shot so far.

SYNOPSIS
When a destitute PhD student commits premeditated murder in the name of a
theory, he finds that his soul can only be saved through the love of a
religious prostitute. But will he confess in time or will a cunning police
investigator ruin his chance at salvation?
THE FILM
'Crime & Punishment' is a modern-day feature
film adaptation of Dostoevsky’s literary masterpiece of the same name. It
intertwines the exploration of the psychology of a killer with a wicked tale of
murder, sex, love and redemption.
Production
will take place in January 2013 in Melbourne, Australia.
OUR GOAL
We
want 'Crime & Punishment' to screen
in cinemas and film festivals around Australia and the world. We want our film
to rise to the standard it deserves, with sets, costumes and locations that do
the story proud. To do this we need to raise
$20,000.

WHY WE’RE CROWDFUNDING
We aim to start filming in January 2013, but in order to do that we need your
support. Our amazingly passionate cast and crew are all working on this project
on deferred payment. This means we can make this film sooner than we otherwise
could have. Bless them!
However, what you see on screen – the sets, costumes and locations – need funds
to bring the film to life. That’s why we need your help.
All supporters will be added to our exclusive members-only
newsletter database. You will receive exclusive news, clips, interviews, blogs
and trailer previews. And our eternal thanks for your support.
OUR CROWDFUNDING TARGET
We need to raise an additional $75,000 to make this production become the film
we want it to be. If 750 of you were to pledge $100 each, we'd hit our dream
target.
We’ve set our Pozible goal at $20,000 because we want to make sure we reach it (if we don't hit our Pozible target, we don't get any money). But we don't want the pledging to stop there. Even if we reach $20,000, people can still pledge more to help us reach our dream target (and still reap their Rewards). We really need $75,000 to make the best film that we can make.
HOW TO
PLEDGE
Click the green button on the right of the screen that
says ‘Support Project’. It will take you to the Pledge page. You will be asked
to select your Pledge amount and Reward. From there, you will go through the
Pozible checkout and payment process.
We have some fantastic rewards on
offer for pledges of all amounts so please check them out and contribute where
you can. Every little bit counts towards making the best film possible and we
greatly appreciate any and all support of the project.
If the funding target is not reached pledges will not proceed and no payments
will be processed.

WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY REWARDS?

Rewards by September 2013 or, where specified, upon the film’s release. We’ll
keep you updated via our exclusive members-only newsletter, Twitter, Facebook
and the Crime & Punishment
website on the progress of the film and its release.
HOW ELSE TO SUPPORT THE FILM
Please help us by spreading the word. Crowdfunding
