The Why:

Filmmaking is difficult - creating any form of art is. So much goes into it: creativity, hard work, hard hours, lack of sleep, endless amounts of passion and heart, pain, joy, isolation, and dedicated people who refuse to let up. Unfortunately, these things aren't enough. Money also helps.

This film needs you!

'The Few, The Super' was created by a small and passionate crew, determined to make something that would resonate with an audience; something that would challenge them not only as filmmakers, but as people. It was not made for profit. It was made simply because it had to be.

Having now arrived at picture lock-off, the film just needs a little extra funding to help take it to completion.

The money raised here will go towards:

- hiring a composer
- a colourist
- a sound mixer
- help take the film to major film festivals around the world.

Thank you!!

The What:

''The Few, The Super' is a reflective, poetic, lyrical short film that was made as a major project at International Film School Sydney. It follows three superheroes attempting to refind themselves after world peace has been announced. The scripting process began midway through 2012, with the actual shoot occurring over 4 days towards the end of September and post-production commencing immediately after. The casting process went smoothly, with no auditions being held. The roles were offered to actors whom it was felt would perfectly suit the roles and understand the characters.

An important part of this film was always going to be the world around the former superheroes. No place could have been more perfect than Sydney; a city of towering skyscrapers, grungy alleyways, innovative design, and beautiful parks of green contemplation. Each location was carefully scouted and many days were spent exploring the streets of Sydney.

The shoot itself ran smoothly and professionally; an amazing group of crew and actors coming together to give the film their all. The sun came out, unexpected mishaps were extremely shy, and schedule wise things couldn't have been better.

Now that the film has reached picture lock-off, the time has come to bring on board a composer and colourist to really elevate the film and take it to completion. The goal will then be to enter the film into as many serious film festivals - both internationally and locally - as humanly possible so that the film may find its audience.
