If you want to purchase one of these instruments as a part of the campaign, you and I will consult together on the design, features, materials and overall character of a brand new custom-made Instrument which can be made from anything that resembles an instrument, eg, wine box, cookie tins, bedpans also custom orders made from exotic timbers. All necks are hand carved and fitted with quality fret wire. The one piece design makes them strong and lasting. Craig takes pride in his work using the best materials available.

Wow what a year! So... in case you didn't know, amongst my insane touring schedule over the past 8 months, I've been in Sydney at every opportunity working my butt off with famed producer Craig Porteils making a new album for you. "Home Is Where The Heart Is" is now nearly completely recorded but there is still much more work to be done! We are now working on getting the album mixed, mastered, pressed and out to the masses, complete with incredible artwork and more love than you could ever imagine!
I have been proudly committed to staying completely independent throughout my career, even co-founding Walkaboutfish Records to give us the platform to independently release my music.
This album is no different, except that it's our biggest and most ambitious project ever, and that is why we are asking for your help to get it off the ground. Our goal is less than 25% of what we'll be investing in this project! C.K. Instruments Custom Shop Dulsitar
Craig Koen designs and creates many of the unique stringed instruments that are seen at Jay's live shows and these instruments featured heavily on Jay's new album. Craig and Jay's brain storms creating the concepts for these instruments are often fast and furious, constantly challenging each other with difficult designs and construction issues, but Craig always has the last laugh when he finally hands the instrument over to Jay with some cheeky remark like... "now learn how to play that one!
