Hello everyone!
My name is Lucy Wise, an independent singer-songwriter based in Melbourne. Over the past three years of my performing career, I have produced a solo EP and a debut
album (“Lucy Wise and The B’Gollies”), toured New Zealand and performed at
major folk festivals across Australia.
ABOUT MY SECOND ALBUM PROJECT:
I have been working over the past year and a half writing the material for my
second album, “When We Wander Far From Home”, a collection of songs inspired by
characters and stories I have encountered in my life as a touring musician.
Over the next two months, I will be producing this album, employing the help of
some of the best musicians, engineers and artists in the Australian music scene including:
Chris Stone – violin,
Graham McLeod – guitar and backing vocals, Mischa Herman – accordion, Holly
Downes – double bass.

In June, 2013 I will be touring The UK for the first time
with my duo act, Lucy Wise & Mischa Herman, supporting the popular Australian
choral group, The Spooky Men’s Chorale. Releasing my second album in April this
year will give me the opportunity to present my new work in the form of a very
high quality product to audiences in Australia, the UK and beyond.
In order to complete this album and share it with the world, I am going to need your help. Through my pozible campaign, I ask my friends, fans old and new to help me raise $10,000 in costs of creating this album.

- Musician Hire for rehearsing and recording time:
My band members (which includes my recording engineer, Mischa Herman) are full time musicians and also my friends. They have already committed many hours to this project and need to see something for their hard work so far.
-Guest artist fee for percussionist, Leon Tussie, who is appearing on 3 tracks of the album
-Pre-production of guide and click tracks at Cycle Recording Studio, Melbourne
-Engineer hire instrumental recording in Violet Town– Mischa Herman
-Gear Hire for the instrumental recording
-Recording Venue Hire and accommodation at The Parish, Violet Town
-Record lead and backing vocals recording at Cycle Recording Studio, Melbourne with Mischa Herman
-Mixing of 10 tracks at Cycle Recording Studio, Melbourne with Mischa Herman
-Mastering at Deluxe Mastering, Melbourne with Adam Dempsey
-Artwork by Luci Everett
-Printing of 1000 copies of the album at Replicat, Melbourne
-Recording Venue Hire and accommodation at The Parish, Violet Town
-Record lead and backing vocals recording at Cycle Recording Studio, Melbourne with Mischa Herman
-Mixing of 10 tracks at Cycle Recording Studio, Melbourne with Mischa Herman
-Mastering at Deluxe Mastering, Melbourne with Adam Dempsey
-Artwork by Luci Everett
-Printing of 1000 copies of the album at Replicat, Melbourne
Every dollar I receive above the $10,000 mark will go towards covering the other costs that are involved in the album production: food and accommodation for band members during recording time and promotional activities for the album, including:
-admin costs of mailing CDs and press releases out to Radio, print and online reviewers
-the costs of making a promotional video for the album with Mike Lutman from Lutman Films
