Welcome, and thanks for reading about my project. Most people know me for the guided meditations I've recorded, but I'm also a singer-songwriter, and in 2013 I'm recording my songs about Angels.

Crowdfunding is a lovely way to support the work of independent artists like me, and in return for the money you give, you receive a reward (listed on the right-hand side of this page).
For this CD I'll be hiring a recording studio (unlike my meditation CDs which I mostly record at home), so I can concentrate on the creative side of the music, without having to think about all the technical stuff. Which means I can remove my audio-engineer Geek hat, and fully embrace my Artist hat. (Yay!)

I'll be co-producing the CD with David Jones (www.davidjonesdrums.com.au) and Evri Evripidou.
I believe that when music is recorded, it's not just the sound that is captured but also the performers' feelings. I'll be working with some wonderful musicians, dear friends, all long-term meditators, who come from the heart when they make their music. I'm very fortunate to be working with Megan Kenny (flute, keyboards), David Jones (singing bowls, percussion), Mike Johnson (harp), Michael Conolan (cello) and multi-instrumentalist Evri Evripidou - who will also be my recording engineer.
Here's how I will spend the money we raise:
I believe that when music is recorded, it's not just the sound that is captured but also the performers' feelings. Here's how I will spend the money we raise:
$4,000 - recording studio and engineer, to record, mix and master the songs to final product.
$2,600 - musicians and producer fees
$1,200 - artwork and graphic design for the cover
$1,600 - manufacture the first batch of CDs
$680 - towards cost of posting Rewards, credit card fees etc
$420 - commission taken by Pozible for helping me raise the funds.
If we raise more than my budget, I will use the extra money to add more recording sessions and 2 more musicians.
I'm excited to be stepping outside my comfort zone to ask for help (something new for me). I look forward to receiving your support, as together we bring these Angel songs into the world. Can't do it without you!
