Ekstasis
Ensemble is an independent chamber group based in Redland City, Brisbane,
Queensland.
Ekstasis will be performing several concerts as part of its 2014-15 Concert Season and we need your support to help us achieve our goal of bringing a variety of concerts balanced with:
- Cinema Classics,
- New Originals,
- TV theme favourites,
- Game Music and
- Traditional Classical works by the greats you love to Queensland.
Ekstasis consists of two violinists, cello, piano, drums and percussion. Most of the works performed will be arranged by members of the ensemble alongside original creations by Brisbane composer Rachel Merton. Ekstasis Ensemble has a burning desire to create quality music and present concerts to local communities. Each musician involved is committed to the ensemble but also works full time, part time, studies, juggles family commitments or all of the above!

How The Funds Will Be Used
All
support pledged will go towards the administrative expenses associated with the
ensemble - rehearsal/performance venue hire, music licencing, advertising,
performer appreciation fee, marketing and all of the other ins and outs that
occur during concerts.
UPDATE: We will also be using funds raised to have a RECORDING and YOUTUBE video made of our current concert set.
These will allow us to stress less on the admin and focus more on giving back to you - our supporters! Planning concerts throughout SE QLD is no easy task, and with your generous help we can set in motion our 2014-15 concert series.
BREAK DOWN OF COST:
Concert Hall Hire:
CWA Hall 4 Concerts ($75 for 3hrs) : $300
Southport Community Centre 4 Concerts (3hr hire $117): $468
Multicultural Centre Auditorium, Kangaroo Point 1 Concert: $800
Other expenses:
Musician Performance Appreciation Fees Total 9 concerts (per concert $200): $1800
APRA licensing Fees: TBA
Marketing and Promotional Costs 9 concerts ($200 per concert): $1800
Total Budget: $5,168.00

-Lullaby (modern interpretation of Brahms famous Lullaby) -MERTON

-Redlands (Arranged for Ekstasis and inspired by the local community Redland City) –MERTON
UPDATE:
Ekstasis has decided to focus on our current concert set, and create a Recording and YouTube Video to release online. All supporters will receive priority in viewing the material. In such a multimedia age, we feel these steps are a must to create more exposure of our unique sound.
