When you watch Australian television do you see nothing but awful reality shows and programmes that feel recycled and done before? Do you watch and feel nothing in common with the characters, every single one of them stereotype after stereotype?
Do you love shows like Parks and Recreation and The Office?
Do you watch the majority of your 'television' shows online?
Then 'Suburbs' is the show for you.
Suburbs is a mockumentary based around the misadventures of Scott Holmes, an arts degree graduate who surprise, surprise after he graduated can’t get employed. So he is taking a few months off to ‘find himself’ He has no job but does have a rock opera.
Scott is surrounded by busy people. A sister who wants him OUT of her pool house, friends who HAVE a future and girls who don’t reeeeeally like him that much.
We have made the first episode on a shoe string budget. With an incredible cast and crew that worked for free to make something we are all very proud of.
We come to Pozible to ask for money to make 5 more episodes.
This money will go towards making a product comparable to current television standards, hiring equipment, helping the actors travel from location to location and location costs.
As we launch the first episode of 'Suburbs' we are looking for any writers/directors in the Australian film and television industry that are finding it impossible to break through. We would love to give YOU the opportunity to write or direct (or both!) a future episode of 'Suburbs' .
