We are raising funds for the Australian Junior Water Ski Team to represent Australia at the World Championships in Peru in January 2015.
Our team, of two girls and two boys, has been selected from the best Australian junior water skiers. And being selected to represent our country is a dream come true for each of them – something they’ve been aiming for since they started competing at the age of 8 years.
As a parent of one of the kids selected, I’ve never seen my son so excited and so determined to ‘do Australia proud’.
The Peru World Championships will host skiers from 30 countries and our young team are well placed to bring home Gold for Australia.
But the cost of competing is high, and Government funding is limited so we need your help to get our team to Peru.

Remember, a small donation will make a big differnce, if we can get 1,000 people to donate $30 we will be fully funded and off to Peru and this will be much easier than getting 300 people to donate $1,000.00, so please consider & make a small contribution yourself and then ask your friends to do the same!

ARCHIE is from Sutton NSW and currently completing Year 11 at St. Joseph's College Hunters Hill. Going into this World Championships, Archie is ranked Number 2 in the world. His home site is at Molonglor River ACT.
JOSH is from Clare SA and in Year 12 at Clare High School. Going into this World Championships, Josh is ranked 5th in the world. His home site is at Bedrock SA.
KATIE is from Sydney NSW and currently completing Year 10 by distant education through Karabar High School Queanbeyan. Going into this World Championships, Katie is ranked 10th in the world. Her home site is at Heatherbrae NSW.
CASEY is from Nambucca Heads NSW and is in Year 9 at Camden Haven Distant Education High School. Going into this World Championships, Casey is ranked 14th in the world. Her home site is Coffs Harbour.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Your contribution will help fund the following:
Airfares - $23,500 ($4,700 each per team member + coach)
Accommodation - $ 8,069
5 days training in Peru - $ 5,900 (Water, boat and driver hire)
Entry Fees - $ 1,000
Uniforms - $ 1,000
Bus hire - $ 2,600
Official Functions + Food - $ 4,500
1 weeks pre event team training - $ 2,800
TOTAL -$49,369
We do receive some funding from the sports governing body but it falls a long way short of the total cost. With this funding and Australians kind donation through pozible, we hope that the athletes will only have to fund a small portion of the total costs themselves.
Any additional funds raised above the target will be used for much needed specialist training in Australia prior to the World Championships - again giving the team the best possible outcome.
