Coming to you my friends to raise money to create the most beautiful book we can about Rusden drama, media studies and dance 1966-2002. As many of you know I have been working on the book for more than two years now and have made contact with more than 700 ex-Rusden staff and students, as well as people who briefly worked on Rusden projects or knew people who did. Now much of the work is done, the manuscript is being edited, the images being selected. Three hundred of you have sent bios which will be included in the book and there are almost 600 in the facebook group. I know many of you already know how important Rusden was in the history of drama, dance and media studies education in Australia and how much those of us who were involved were transformed by the experience, but we need to get the book out there so that all the world can know about it. So please make sure you contribute generously and tell your friends, including anyone in the theatre, film, TV, photography, dance and design communities to do the same, whether you were physically part of Rusden or not.

For friends who did not go to Rusden but have an interest in Australian theatre, TV, dance, film etc - I am sure you know how significant Rusden has been in the history of these art forms in Australia. Please give generously.

Creating a book costs money, designers and editors have to be paid and to print a book with colour images is expensive. The best quote for printing a beautiful book of 170 pages is $7110 for 500 copies. Editing and design $2500.

If we don't make the money needed I shall have to print a book with only black and white images on poor quality paper. I really don't want to do that.
