Our crowdfunding campaign has come to an end. Though we have not succeeded in raising the US$25000 our campaign has been very successful in so many ways.
Over the last 30 days we have reached more than:

-Media and Social Media coverage in Norway and most of the cricket world - highlights include a primetime TV slot on SBS World News, Australia
Our campaign was one of many ways to try and get our film to the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. We will find another way to show him our film, Cricketing the Streets of Oslo. Do you know Sachin? How do you get legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s help when you're a losing Norwegian cricket team with just a film love letter in your back pocket?
Can you imagine? In a land far away, by the Arctic Circle, there is actually people struggling in the snow and the dark to play cricket. Well that’s us, and that’s where this journey began. Four years ago, Ritchie Cavander-Cole, an Aussie filmmaker, found himself in the cultural hotpot that is the Vålerenga Cricket Club. He quickly set out to make a film based on a team who found strength and conviction by bonding out on the cricket field. However, shortly after he joined, everything went to shit. Vålerenga lost 16 out of 18 matches in Ritchie’s first season. The following year was even worse. The team lost many of it’s best players and most worryingly, it lost hope. This called for drastic measures and meant carrying out a plan that would stop the team being crap. Vålerenga needed to be saved and this meant capturing the attention of the World’s greatest cricket player, Sachin Tendulkar! How? By devoting a film love letter, "Cricketing the Streets of Oslo", to the 'Master Blaster'.
Now the question remains. How do we get him to see it?
A golden opportunity has presented itself! On the 15th of February 2015, India will be playing it’s opening match of the Cricket World Cup against Pakistan in Adelaide. The plan is to take our film love letter - 'Cricketing The Streets Of Oslo', to Adelaide and show it to Sachin. There we will also invite cricketing fans from around the world to attend and see a film that encourages people to continue playing cricket irrespective of their age, ability or surroundings.
<b>If you can't make it to Adelaide, we will be posting daily video blogs online during our adventure, so that you all will be a part of our trip. Hopefully we will also be able to capture some footage of us together with our hero, Sachin Tendulkar!</b>
Ritchie
Ritchie is the Aussie Atheist who dreams big and tries to win over his teammates at all costs with his unflappable enthusiasm. He believes his fellow team members should push their inner limits to succeed in capturing Sachin’s attention.
Chris
The Norwegian Salvation Army Soldier who grew up learning his cricket in the streets of Bangladesh. Chris is Vålerenga’s captain, and could play for anyone, but he prefers Vålerenga because of the team’s fighting spirit.
Talib
The temperamental taxi driver Talib is a hot head out on the field, but loves to play pranks on his teammates away from it. Talib will use his charm to capture the attention of both cricketers and non-cricketers to support the Vålerenga cause.
Anees
Anees is the Muslim spiritual leader and team poet. He brought in poetry reading as a new way to solve Vålerenga’s woes. There is one problem - Talib believes that real cricket teams use more masculine methods.
Dave
Dave is the team’s gay player and is soft spoken with a quiet determination. He prefers to let his play on the field do the talking rather than get in people’s faces. How will Dave respond when Ritchie pressures him into doing something that goes against his mellow nature?

How The Funds Will Be Used
Our goal is to raise $US25.000 that will go towards
- Cover the travel cost of getting five of the Vålerenga team members to Adelaide.
- Renting a cinema for the World Premiere of “Cricketing The Streets Of Oslo" in Adelaide on Febuary 14th 2015.
- Getting Sachin's attention and invite him to the World Premiere.
In return, we will post daily video diaries during our adventure in Adelaide, so that you all will be a part of our trip. Hopefully we will also be able to capture some footage of us together with our hero, Sachin Tendulkar.

Our biggest challenge is getting Sachin to notice us among the masses. However, we hope that the cricket community around the world will unite and join us in our mission to get this love letter to Sachin.
