Hello! My name is Doris and I am an Adelaide-based Illustrator of whimsical creatures and hand-lettered type. Working by hand in watercolour and ink, I have been developing my own range of art prints and greeting cards that I sell online under the shop name Little Sister Co.

In June, I took the leap and quit my 9-5 to pursue my creative dreams full-time. (I know, total cliché, right?) From August to the end of October, I will be renting out a dual shop and studio space at Brick and Mortar creative retail hub in Norwood.

I love hearing stories from customers about where my creations have ended up, and having a physical space to work from and sell direct to the public would be my dream “job”. I think choosing to purchase local, handmade goods is a win-win scenario for everyone:  there's no feeling like buying something direct from the hands that made it and enabling someone to keep on making a living from the thing that they love.

I’m so excited about starting this next step to building my ‘illustrious’ career, and I want you to be a part of it too!

I have a range of greeting cards and art prints ready to stock the shop with, however I have been itching to extend my product range to include a collection of textiles as well.

The funds from this campaign will contribute to my first print run of tea towels – you can think of this as a pre-order service that will ease the initial costs of production, and enable me to order the bulk quantities necessary to reduce the cost price per item so that I can offer these products to customers at an accessible price point.
