Felix Greenlees aka Terrafractyl, Hypnagog and the owner of Kinematic Records has recently moved to the bush to start living the off-grid self sustainable life!
Unfortunately though having no decent space for sound manipulation in his temporary little shack has created some problems, especially for the Australian record Label Kinematic Records, the music of which nearly all gets mastered by Felix Greenlees. 

Mastering is one of the most important parts of releasing new music, and it is imperative that it is done well.  Since living in this tiny Shack Felix has been trying and failing to find a temporary solution in the space that he has.  

The Label (like most record labels in today's musical climate) runs off the smell of an oily rag and cannot afford to outsource mastering, so a quick fix needs to be found to continue helping new and upcoming Psychedelic music artists from Australia and Around the World.

We are planning on building a house here, the budget for which includes the creation of a decent studio, but as we only just moved here and are yet to apply for any planning and building permits, that reality is at least 12 months away, if not more!!!!
So your help to create a temporary solution would be MUCH appreciated!!

The funds will be used to construct a small timber frame building, to be used for Mastering and producing music.

Plenty of research has already gone into acoustics of such a thing and the goal is to create the best possible sounding room for the smallest possible amount of money,

Louden's Best (modified) ratio of 1:1.36:1.86 will be used to create a small building approx 4.5m x 3.3m x 2.4m.

We already have a shipping container filled with various bass traps and acoustic Treatment from previous studios. So once there is a building up we can fit it out at practically no cost.

As much recycled timber and materials will be used throughout.  There are also plenty of building materials that came with our property, for instance a pile of colorbond Tin, that should clad at least 2 walls, and at least a roofs worth of insulation bats.

Having never built something of this size i am expecting many technical challenges, but I am getting some help from my father-in-law on the project, a very experience renovator and handyman.   I also have access to his myriad of tools, without which this would all cost many times more.
