27 Eyes on Sylhet is a collaborative effort between Griffith University and Pathshala Media Academy. It is the result of a three week intensive workshop in Bangladesh earlier this year. Students visited Sylhet in the country's north seeking to investigate and engage with the local community to produce a body of work over the period of one week. The result is a collection of 27 different stories which share the perceptions of the 27 participating students.
We have produced an electronic version of the book and now, with your help, aim to make it a tangible reality.
We are extremely close to seeing this project realised. The cost of printing the 272 page book is just under $20,000AUD; we need $5,000AUD to send this book to print. With your help and generosity we will be able to make this book a reality, distributing it globally, crossing geographic and cultural boundaries.
Please watch the above video documenting our workshop and it's participants along with examples of work to be featured in the book and continue to watch this space for video updates from workshop participants, convenors and guests.
