'the river' is a short student graduate film from Swinburne University in Melbourne that is currently in Post-Production. 

The film is set in a quiet but strange neighbourhood where a small river makes its way through town. There we witness the formation of a friendship between two teenage boys who meet in a chance encounter, and then follow the boys as they explore the local area and find numerous ways to kill time!

Filming took place in around the city of Ballarat over one week in early August shot on Super 16mm.

Tarquin and Aimée are both 3rd year film students at Swinburne University 'the river' is their graduate film.

Tarquin likes drinking tea and dabbles in filmmaking this is his most ambitious project yet following up on his previous films Dogs (2011), Cats (2010) and Go Sick (2010).
