The equivalent of 10 Sydney-Hobart races end on end, it’s more than a race. It’s an amazing adventure for those at sea and those ashore, bringing broad new business and social benefits to capital cities and regional port communities.

Inspiring men and women, young and old, to do extraordinary things.

The event will attract the best of racing boats and crews, from Australia and abroad as they go about claiming the honour of winning the inaugural event and writing their chapter in history.

The event spans 16 weeks, incorporating ten stopovers around Australia. It's the only truly national sporting event that involves major city ports and regional ports, making it one of the world’s great races and showcasing our beautiful coastline in the process.

WE'RE ON COURSE

Four years of work has gone into gaining the support of racing boat owners, yacht clubs around Australia, government and community organisations, tourism bodies, media organisations and many of the vast number of people and industries that will benefit from a national and international event of this magnitude.

We have experienced many ups and downs. We’ve learnt a vast amount. Our goals ahead are clear. We have the knowledge to succeed.

EMBRACING NEW MEDIA

The event oozes life stories, adventure and reality entertainment. It will generate captivating multi-media content, providing compelling brand exposure for event sponsors, event partners and advertisers.

We have the potential to stage major TV, radio, web site and printed press programs, a documentary for world wide distribution, providing considerable brand exposure for event sponsors and event partners.

Help us call tenders and appoint a production team to scope the multi-media content for the event (Free-to-air TV, cable, digital TV, radio and a major documentary for world wide distribution).

Help us seek out national and international media partners.

Help us fund the marketing, brand placement and selling of sponsorship and advertising opportunities.

WHO ARE WE?

We are the AUSTRALIA YACHT CLUB (ARB153 419 660) ([email protected]) (www.facebook.com/AustraliaYachtClub)

The club was established to be the organising authority for the event. The club is working in collaboration with Ocean Events Pty Ltd. It's a not-for-profit club with an established working relationship with other major yacht clubs around Australia. Below is a picture of our club founders and our club patron.
