We're seeking to raise funds to offset production costs for our Tropfest film.
Prospect is a film co-written, produced and directed by Mitchel Viernes and Scott Membry. It will be their first entry into Tropfest.
Specifically, it is being made for Tropfest Australia, December 2013
Some of our estimated costs include:
* Equipment and location hire and transport - $3500+
* Insurance - $1000+
* Council fees and permits etc. - $1000+
Everyone working on the film is a volunteer and no-one gets paid.
Prospect is about a father and his teenage son, about holding on and letting go, about sacrifice and acceptance, and change.
Prospect is set in the future, in an economically and environmentally bleak world where life is a struggle for this family of two, and making ends meet threatens to tear the family apart.
Cast and crew have already been selected and are hard at work preparing for filming in June.
In the lead roles we have:
Uisce Goriss-Dazeley as 'Sam'
Uisce has a wealth of experience in film, TV and on stage. Uisce’s performing roots are in music theatre, where he has performed in six major musicals and numerous minor productions. In 2011, he was nominated for a Victorian Music Theatre Guild Award.
Over the last two years Uisce has moved into film and TV where he has performed as the lead in a nationally broadcast TV show with Disney and has appeared in a number of TVCs. He has also been a lead and performed in five short films.
Alan Claridge as 'Sam's Dad'
Alan has starred in several short films, and has considerable experience in extras and commercial roles on Australian TV. He also has a decade of experience behind the camera working in various television crew positions.
