WHAT ARE THEY?
They are recycled wooden good luck cards that you carry everywhere with you, and have a design of your choice!
Whether you want to use it to "knock on wood" for luck or imagine having your own unique business card, or something that has the beauty of wood, with your family motto or family pet on it to always remind you of ‘home’?
They say that invention comes from necessity, or having a problem such as being up at 36,000 ft saying something you hope doesn't happen, and looking for wood to touch for luck and NO WOOD! Touching wood is quite emotive, not only is it a tangible and tactile concept, but it also has the power to sooth the mind.
This is where I started with the idea for Wooden Bet On it, at 36,000 ft, where I wanted to come up with something cool, something tangible for people to carry with them for that 'what if' moment. Turns out what I invented could have multiple purposes.

Wooden Bet On It cards are made from recycled timbers with a product created specifically for Wooden Bet On It, and were created with you in mind, with laser engraved motto's, slogans, your star sign, anything you want, so not only is it something that you can touch for luck, but it's also something you can show off to friends. Not to mention a unique business card idea.

THE MISSION
The mission of Wooden Bet On It Cards is to always give you that extra bit of good luck when you need it most!...with a design to compliment your life. They are the same size as a credit card, designs also allow for key-rings, fridge magnets, jewellery, wedding decorations and labels, personalised one-off cards, postcards etc...
This product is unique and because the name has been trademarked, Prototypes are already in wallets around the world!... people love the idea and can't wait for further production. So far the cost of outsourcing the laser cutter costs too much to make it practical... having my own laser cutter with software, would change this, as it could be run from home initially, and once in shops, fairs and stalls, will expand to further product range.
Pledges will go directly towards purchasing a laser cutter, display stands, website hosting and creation, basically to get this business off the ground and into people's wallets, purses and man-bags! Additional business premise is to outsource the laser to other for other projects and businesses, and have already had many enquiries about this.

As a special request from a person with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and mild Asperger's Syndrome asked me to create them a Wooden Bet On It card as they had the compulsion and need to touch wood many times a day, this in their words "would save their bacon", not only did I create one for them (we are still in prototype mode, so it was a special gift), but as requested, a "Light-bulb" joke was engraved on it too!

WHY I NEED YOU
I know that by making myself part of an equation; that me, the idea I have, and a good team (you guys!) behind me, that I can make “Epic things happen!”
This project has great importance not only because I want to share my idea with the world. I have put together the prototypes, the design work, the Intellectual Property, the ‘everything so far’ and it's only just the beginning.
This project to me represents an innovative way to use existing technology to produce something unique, something quirky, that you can also be proud of and want to show off to your friends too.
