Destruction of our rainforests is one of the greatest environmental threats we face to our planet and to mankind. In the time it takes to read this presentation, an area larger than 20 football fields will have been destroyed. Over the past 40 years, close to 20 percent of the Amazon rainforest has been cut down—that’s more than in the previous 450 years. Deforestation accounts for about 17 percent of man-made emissions each year - more than all cars, airplanes, trains, and ships in the world put together There is a solution by leaving the rainforest intact and sustainably gathering it's many fruits and nuts, the rainforest has more value than if it was cut down. Rainforest land converted to cattle operations yields the landowner $60 per acre - If timber is harvested, the land is worth $400per acre - However, if medicinal plants, fruits and nuts are harvested, the land will yield the landowner $2,400 per acre!

This value provides an income not only today but year after year – for generations. These sustainable resources – not the trees – are the true wealth of the rainforest.  If managed properly  the rainforest can provide the world's need for these natural resources on a perpetual basis. Using rainforest products could help stop the destruction, This can bring positive change while supporting the native people's economy. It’s a way we can all directly contribute to preserving the Amazon.

I'm working with a company in Brazil which have legal government contracts to wild harvest.  They are very dedicated to caring for the rainforest, employing and training the local people to gather the fruits and nuts with the least possible impact on the forest,  then cold pressing them preserving all their beneficial enzymes. giving truly  Raw Skincare.

If this method will work in the Amazon, there is no reason it can't be used to save many of the endangered rainforests of the world.
