This is a fun game I am hoping to release around November 15 this year.
The game is called Scarce, it is about a normal boy named James, living in a world called Thyra, everything seems normal and peaceful, when one day an evil force with no real name attacks the peaceful land, they steal all the light in the world, capturing it, and corrupting it into a form of pure evil and darkness. The simpleton named Roy stands up to face the darkness and take back the light before it is to late and the world is beyond repair.
In this game you are Roy and you puzzle your way through a range of different mind teasing levels to restore the light to the world.
I have gotten my inspiration off two popular games, don't starve and limbo.
I will be in need of paying for some services (like character design and level storyboarding)
I am asking for $500, it will be broken down like so:
$150 for art
$70 to hire an animator for cut scenes
$100 for the program its going to be made in
$180 for licenses to use certain backgrounds and such
I am 15 and am hoping to make a living off game creating in the future. Making a game is a lot of work and I am doing this mainly on my own so please donate to help me reach my goal.
Those who donate $10 will receive access to the game the second it is playable.
If you pledge $20 you will get your name at the end of the game and a high quality digital print of a cool scene in the game.
With $30 you can preorder the game for when it launches and receive the $10 and $20 rewards.
With $70 you have access to all of the above and a 15cm tall hand painted model of the finished character worth probably $150 at least.
Thanks so much.
Every little bit counts.
