It's been 2 years since my last confession. I mean, my last EP. Now, I've got a 5 track instrumental EP to put out, titled "Let's Visit The Seaside". I've also made a video for one of the songs, "Crab Dances". The tunes on the EP sound as though they belong in a 1970s documentary about ocean life. Though it's good music, it's quite unfashionable for 2013. I can't help but keep making music on vintage analogue synths. They sound so good!
So, I was thinking - do you want to be my label? You don't need to do much other than sponsor me, and you're in! We can choose a name for our label together, and if you want, you can design a logo. Let me know if you have a suggestion for a name. In return for your sponsorship, you get to choose your reward, and have your name included on a 10 second screen on the end of the "Crab Dances" music video.
The EP will be mixed by Josh Abrahams and mastered at Crystal Mastering. All the playing and production on the EP was done by little ol' me, with some gorgeous additional guitar parts by Martin Moose, an inductee of the Australian Record Industry Association hall of fame.
The video for "Crab Dances" was filmed in April, and is currently being edited by Edwin Tedjokusumo, choreography by Brooke Stamp and crab claws made for me by Josh Spiegel from Boxwars. Hopefully, the video will be ready for release at the conclusion of this campaign. I will be sending it in to Rage on ABC Australia TV. The video features myself, dressed in an 80s leotard and dancing like a crab. You know you want to see it.
The money will help me to pay for:
- getting the EP mixed
- mastering
- CD artwork design
- CD manufacturing and mailing to you
- video production and editing
