WHO WE ARE AND WHAT ARE WE YOU ASK?

I’m LINSTEL D'MELLO : the CREATOR of HAVOC, who just loves, knows and PASSIONATE about fashion! But, more so KIDS FASHION as I have been in this hard industry both in Australia and abroad for 16 years. Having been trained as a Textile and Fashion designer, and then as a Textile Technologist.

I have worked from the bottom to the peak then decided to take the massive jump in to my own label and when I do something I put my heart and soul in to it.

WHY DENIM AND WHY CALL IT HAVOC?

The thing I realized was that most labels in children's wear do denim for the sake of doing denim but for me I thought it was a part of fashion that deserves to be TREATED with respect and DEVELOPED in a manner that shows denim in a way it deserves to be designed and use washes that are butter soft rather than crunchy cardboard feeling denim as I know for one self you would not wear jeans like that so why would you put your children in a pair.So, HAVOC DENIM was born in 2009.

We at 'HAVOC DENIM' engineer a 3 stage wash process to ensure our butter soft denim, in addition to being pre-shrunk with adjustable waist inserts for added comfort!

We source all our hardware and make a quality well priced product to last the distance! Prices range from $34.95 up to $59.95.

Being the first brand in Australia to introduce colored jeans and as we were ahead at the time, we had stores telling us it would never work as customers simply like blue jeans but that season we sold out in our colored denim and then we introduced printed denim and we were told would never sell it but we had stores reordering with in 2 weeks.

Havoc denim is currently stocked and sold in selected boutique stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

As well as the Hamptons in New york state, Manhattan, Baltimore,Arkansas, Miami as well as currently selling to stores across the midwest and west and east coast of the USA.

                                                   Where do you come? And why we NEED YOU?

Well,we at ‘Havoc Denim’ want to push the brand to its next level and that takes lots of money. But, we have started doing trade shows in the USA and we would like to continue doing this with your help as we need to be seen and need to market us to get the word out there.

In March 2013 we launched 'Havoc Denim' to the US market at the ENK Childrens Club show in NYC and have decided we would need to keep up these trade shows for us really to make an Australian brand truly known in the US. (and US customer loves Aussie products)

Havoc Denim would like to Pledge for the total of : $4,550 ( if we get more...we would humbly accept your help)

Breakdown for 'ENK CHILDRENS CLUB' Trade show for 1 week in NYC (Either August or October 2013)

$ 1,500 - space @ trade show

$500 - lights/shelving for space (yes it is expensive, but only authorized to use their companies)

$ 1,500 - airfares

$1000 - accommodation (being conservative - but happy to pay the difference)

                                                       WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

Well how terrible is it to know that Australian brands are disappearing from the Australian market and all of the ones that are still around are no longer Australian owned and very few sell internationally and this is where we want to head to to create local jobs here in Australia but export into the larger markets and reverse the current trend of importing all brands.

We have had several write ups and reviewed several time on major denim websites such as denimology and denim blog as well as featured in 'Earnshaws' a childrens industry magazine based in NY. And have been invited to Bread and butter the worlds biggest denim trade show in Germany.

We would really LOVE the opportunity to put an Australian and Melbourne based brand on the Map! And you can help being part of this!
