Support Marsha to get to the World Master Games
Hi everyone,
Firstly thanks for taking the time to visit my pledge site.
I am seeking assistance to attend the World Masters Games in Torino, Italy. I'll be representing Australia in pairs beach volleyball.
Torino will be hosting the eighth edition of the World Masters Games, the summer games for sportspeople aged from 35 to 100+ years. The event will attract over 50,000 athletes to participate in 28 sports.
I needs to raise the funds for:
* Flights - $3000
* Accommodation - $1200
* Registration - $250
* Uniform - $300
I first played volleyball in my early teens and was so bad at it, I was asked to leave the team. Some 12 years later and at 31 years of age, I was asked by a friend to play a fill in for a beach volleyball game. Surrounded by fun, supportive people who were passionate about the sand - my love affair with beach volleyball started. I say I'm like wine - I got better with age (well my volleyball skills did anyway!)
I've since played at National level for indoor beach volleyball and travel the state regularly for regional tournaments. I play three nights a week, train on the sand twice a week and hit the gym six days a week.
I've been offered an amazing opportunity to represent my country at the World Master Games and would greatly appreciate any support you could provide.
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!!!
