Join with us, either financially or in the flesh, to celebrate the actions and achievements of our most Oppositionally Disobedient heroes and heroines, as we set the stage for a night of Creative Disorder and Direct Action!

Awards Presentations will be accompanied by Poetic Performances by controversial Spoken Word Artists such as Angry Randall Stephens, Steve 'Smarty' Smart, popefred, ReVerse Butcher, James 'The Beast' Jackson and MC'd by Bolshi Ben Solah and 2 x Commonwealth Games Wrestling Team Competitor and ODD Spokeswoman Extraordinaire – our very own ODD Grrl!!!

Yes, that's right folks! We have Wrestling! And Poetry! And Musical Mayhem with the ODD Ball!  This event will catapult the concept of Poetry Slamming to a whole new level! These performers will take you to the mat and put you on the ropes with satire, polemic and poesy that will open your eyes and blow your mind. Then dance your struggles away long into night at the ODD Ball, featuring the incorrigible Fats White all the way from New Zealand, King Arthur and the Noble Savages all the way from Brisbane, along with Melbourne's own Flux of Humour and the Low Priests.

With awards ranging from for The Most ODD Marine Mammal (with Nominees: Paul Watson vs the Bomb Dolphins), The Riot ODDie (Pussy Riot vs Atari Teenage Riot) to The Internet ODDie (Wikileaks vs Anonymous) and Super ODDie (The Green Lantern vs V for Vendetta), it will be a night to remember and recognise those with the passion and stamina to make a constructive difference in the world, in any and all forms, even if their actions are seen as disobedient by the established authorities of the age, and despite their often painful personal sacrifice.

The ODDies are, of course, a dig at awards ceremonies as well as a chance to acknowledge those who are struggling to create a better world. Many of those who suffer with Oppositional Disobedience Disorder die young or are incarcerated for much of their lives. Some have been murdered, while others, given support and access to creative forms of Direct Action and political franchise, have been able to live long productive lives.

This year, we will induct our most beloved and mourned ODDie of 2013 – Aaron Schwarz – into the ODD Hall Of Fame, to be immortalised alongside classic ODDie greats such as Malcolm X, Oscar Wilde, Rosa Parks, Sid Vicious, Mary MacKillop, Luke Skywalker and Gandhi... Special Awards will also be given for the twin pillars of the ODD ethos – Services to Creative Disorder (David Walsh) and Services to Direct Action (Occupy Melbourne).

Rather than charge on the door to cover costs for an event we want the whole ODD Community and their Supporters to be able to celebrate, evening attendance will be by donation. Along with our super selection of ODD stickers, badges and T-Shirts, we're also offering our full range of ODD Support Group Services such as wrestling lessons with ODD Grrl, Art of the State legal advice from Strawman & Associates, as well as 1:1 or Group Creative Arts Therapy sessions from our ODD Support Group Clinical Team.

Special Fun times can also be had on the night with your own serenade from our musical magician, cheap hugs, and the chance to get in the ring and be body slammed by ODD Grrl!

Personalised Singing Telegrams or Skype-O-Grams and Private Poetical Ukelele Burlesque Shows are also available from Australian Boys Choir Veteran and local Mariachi Flux of Humour.

That's right! We will make a video of your very own story of fighting oppression however you found it, give it the special ODD treatment and celebrate it on the night! Location is no barrier with todays technologies – wherever you are in the world, we want to support and celebrate your ODD efforts too!

So be part of our campaign to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of being ODD – donate to the ODDies and/or come along! If we raise enough funds we hope to stream the action live online on the night for those of you who aren't in Melbourne, and it will also be posted on our ODD Support Group YouTube Channel for everyone for evermore.

At this stage, we've set our minimum to cover printing and venue hire (which includes security, sound equipment and technician).  Revolt have given us an incredible rate on the venue and tech, and we're positive we'll reach that target with your help, but we hope to raise more to thank our fantastic ODD performers who are putting their lives and reputations on the line for the ODD cause, with some flying across oceans and others taking to the long road down from Brisbane to perform for you all on the night.
