Thanks to your overwhelming generosity we have reached our target of $9,000 in just over a week! We have been completely humbled and blown away by the love and support you have shown us, and we are more excited than ever to be making our debut album with you by our side!! We have over a week left of our campaign, so there is still time to grab a reward or share it with a friend who might not have seen it.
Every cent that we raise over our target will go towards further promotion for the album and if we make enough we may even be able to make a video clip for our song "Animals Housed".

Creating things is in our blood, it’s who we are and we love every minute of it.
After a great rehearsal or gig we don’t sleep because we are so excited. Writing songs, playing and performing helps us to express ourselves, It helps us release and helps us heal. It makes us part of a team and together, we create something greater than we ever could on our own. But as much as it’s a part of us and always will be, we can’t do it alone. We need you, and lucky for us, you have always been there.
Seriously. For as long as we’ve done this, you’ve been our inspiration. You show up, you invite your friends, you know the lyrics (even when we forget), you buy our music, you wear our shirts, you tell us that our songs mean something to you, you help us grow, you inspire us to do it again, do it better and do it more.
Creating our Debut Album is one of the most important things we will do in our career. For many people it will be the first time they have even heard of Playwrite. We love making records in the studio but we've always felt like we're a band that has to be seen live to be truly understood. The challenges we face as independent musicians seem so irrelevant and meaningless when we get on stage and see people respond, sing and dance to our songs. We have found a producer who is truly excited to work with us to capture the energy we have on stage and bring it into our first album in a way which we feel we have not done on our previous recordings. And we know we need to seize this opportunity.Unfortunately however the recording process costs a heap of money. We have calculated that we need around $29,000 to record, master, manufacture and promote this record. We have a large portion of that money already but we need a bit more to make it the best it can be and we can’t do it without you.
Our goal is to raise $9,000 in 21 days, to help fund the recording and manufacturing of the Album. If we exceed our goal, the additional money will help fund the promotional efforts behind releasing our Album later in 2013. In fact, the more we can raise, the better chance the album has of being noticed.In return, we’re offering everything from acoustic shows in your lounge room, custom designed T-shirts, tickets to Playwrite shows for life and even the chance to sing with us on the album. It would mean the world to us if you would choose one of the rewards (on the right) and become part of this project.Thank you for reading this far. Thank you for singing along.
