Australian Women's Lacrosse Team 2013
Local based members of the Australian Women's Lacrosse Team are fundraising for a trip to Canada this coming July for the FIL 2013 World Cup.
Lacrosse does not receive high performance funding from the Australian Government and also receives limited sponsorship. Thus leaving the heavy financial burden to represent Australia on the players. Below is an outline of some of the costs associated with representing Australia this July.

The World Cup is held every four years. The most recent World Cup was held in June 2009 in the Czech Republic, with Australia going down by just one goal to arch rivals The United States. In 2005 the World Cup was held in The United States where the Australian Team won the gold medal, beating the US 14-7.
The World Cup in Oshawa, Canada this July is expected to showcase another battle between Australia and The United States as well as other pool teams consisting of Canada, England and Wales.
