SYNOPSIS
After being confronted with a compelling ultimatum by his sister, an infuriated Mick reluctantly attends a unique rehabilitative meditation retreat, where for ten days he is confined to contemplate his existence amidst the restrictive and reflective sounds... of silence.

THE FILM'S ORIGIN
In creating Mick's story, 28 year old writer/director Caleb Rixon has drawn upon his own history. In 2008, on the brink of a major music theatre career, Caleb suffered a life-threatening stroke and spent the following 2.5 years in rehabilitation. After relearning the skills of walking, talking, swallowing, seeing and breathing all over again, Caleb refuses to perceive his residual eye condition, diplopia (double vision), as anything like a set back. "I feel quite lucky. Every artist that's had significant impact on our history is renowned for having a unique vision. Pfft- so what?! I got double on those b%@&$!". At the end of 2011, Caleb made the decision to pursue film making and was accepted into the Master of Film and Television program at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). After writing and directing 3 short films back to back, Caleb began seeing quadruple, so at the start of this year he took some time out and attended a silent meditation retreat in the Blue Mountains of NSW. It was on this journey that Caleb stumbled across an unexpected epiphany that changed the course of his life and ultimately provided the catalyst for this story.
